Preparing for a Wedding Show and keeping my head above water!

So 2019 is starting with us running head on, full throttle into our marketing, and the big push to get the Farm Adventure name and brand out there!

We get so much feedback from people “I’d never even heard of you” .. and that’s even from locals!

While on the one hand, we’re not looking to be some multi-million pound business, on the other hand, I would like it if maybe just a few people could be chatting to a friend about “Farm Adventure”, and for them to reply with “Oh yeah, I’ve heard of that place – sounds amazing!” ๐Ÿ˜‰

You know what I mean?!

That means I’ve jumped with both feet into getting us to Wedding Fairs .. why? Why not? It’s the perfect audience – stags, hens, brides-to-be, best men, bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, and everyone else too!! And, we stand out!

Oh, and last time we did one, it was SOOO much fun!

How cool to have such a massive change of scenery :

From This –>ย ย ย  To This –>ย ย

However, it does just take a fair bit of thought, planning … and help!

So I’m getting emails left, right and centre from all the suppliers – when do I have time to read these?! Well I HAVE to read them .. each one, to make sure I’ve not missed something, or I need to order something I’ve not thought about. Then there’s all our online presence for the National Wedding Show’s side of things – they promote us too!

OK, so check that off the list.

Now what?

Our own promo! We don’t just rock up and hope people will come to see us!

We got our team at Clickthrough Digital to help with the stand look – we’re going “wallpaper” rather than just posters this time! Oh yes! What else do we need? We’ve chatted about options, what we can do / bring / advertise / entice with etc etc!

It’s been narrowed down. And it will be fab – gorgeous even! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now to organise childcare for the weekend … not just a few hours, this is Saturday and Sunday – the full day, early start & late finish. Time to beg, ask favours, and hope my little darlings will behave (of course they will – they bloody behave for everyone else except mum & dad .. we all know that!)

Then there’s staff. Who wants to come?

Well Steve does of course! Yes, he’s back! Well he’s been working back here for a fair few months now to help build the Shepherds Lodge. He’ll go back to his favourite job in the Spring, but he loves chatting with all the groups, and knows how our activities work inside out. Oh, and he’s pretty DAMN good (but don’t tell him.. he already knows!) ๐Ÿ˜‰

Chris has just started with us (I’ve not got round to the intros yet! Give me a chance!), and he’s being thrown in at the deep end .. and seems keen! Woo hoo!

Let’s not forget Jess – she’s not coming to the fair, because she’s looking after the main bit .. THE FARM!! Don’t forget the animals! Of course, she’s just as ever, propping up the main business ๐Ÿ˜‰

One minute I think I’m in control, covered all bases .. the next, I can’t even remember what I’ve done, and what I’m supposed to be doing! Panic!

Just working with everyone, I’m hoping that with all the hours I’ve put in, that everyone has so far helped with, we will ROCK IT!

PS : I can’t wait!

PPS : make sure you come to see us if you’re there!

PPPS : I really want to bring Bonnie .. yes or no?!
